This town seems to have a love affair with spending money we don't have.
I for one have to agree with Richard Barone about the new library planned for the town hall.
Could we not just fix what needs repair on the two existing libraries? Maybe open the two high school libraries (that we spent fortunes on) to the public after hours and during the summer?
This town seems to have a love affair with spending money we don't have. Our taxes are literally the highest in the area, yet we look for more ways to spend. Maybe we could just work on improving what we have (God forbid!) within our means and not this manic jumping from one wonderful warm fuzzy feel-good project to the next without thought of 10 or 20 years down the (potholed) road.
If the town feels an uncontrollable urge to blow money, lets blow it on the poor state of the roads or maybe do something with that empty mall — end its misery, tear it down and plant trees on the site?
My two cents.
