Rooftop deck

In my previous blog post I showed this deck from the top surface. This view shows another great trick that was employed for this project. A garden terrace level was created five feet below the rooftop deck, so that the connection to the garden would be stronger. This not only made it easier to get down into the yard; it also allowed for the planting of trees on the ground to shade the deck. When these birches have grown, the family will be able to enjoy their beauty without overloading the deck.
