The Bloomfield girls volleyball team continued its dominant season with a 25-18, 25-13, 25-15 sweep of Marion on Monday. Peyton Robinson recorded 16 assists, three kills and three aces to fuel the Bombers. Alyssa Eveland added seven kills to help Bloomfield improve to 17-1. Martha Rinella made five digs for Marion (0-17).
North Rose-Wolcott 6, Gananda 0
The North Rose-Wolcott boys soccer team defeated visiting Gananda on Monday to improve to 9-5-1 overall, 8-3-0 in Wayne County League play. Jon Jones finished with one goal and one assist to lead North Rose-Wolcott. Rishil Sheth, Elijah Durham, Skyler Tuper, Noah Murray and James Gunkler each added one goal. Gananda drops to 2-11-2, 1-8-2.
Marion 3, Sodus 0
The Black Knights earned a shutout win over Sodus to improve to 12-1-1, 10-0-1 in league play. John Lyons scored off an assist from Connor McKechney to give Marion a 1-0 lead. McKechney provided the assist on the second goal, setting up Hunter DeLyser who provided the assist on the team's final goal by Noah Stevens. Sodus drops to 2-11-1, 1-9-1.
Williamson 5, East Rochester 0
Josh McIntosh tallied two goals and two assists to lead Williamson to a shutout of East Rochester in boys soccer. Tom Ferland and Hunter Secor each added a goal while Abe VanHoover and Corey Cristales both made one assist. Williamson (11-4-0, 7-4-0) has outscored its opponents 48-14 on the season. East Rochester drops to 4-11-0, 4-8-0.
Penn Yan 1, Naples 0
The Penn Yan girls soccer team picked up its third win of the season on Monday with a 1-0 defeat of visiting Naples. Courtney Lafler scored in the 74th minute off a pass from Heather Anderson to lift the Mustangs to victory. Danielle Chidsey made three saves to earn the shutout in goal. Lissa Brautigam recorded three saves for Naples (10-3-1).
Victor 1, Pittsford Sutherland 0 OT
The Victor girls soccer team played host to Pittsford Sutherland on Monday and defeated the visiting Knights 1-0 in overtime. Fran Valenti scored midway through the second overtime period off a pass from Emma Orlando to lift the Blue Devils to the win. Angela Ratka recorded eight saves to earn the shutout between the pipes. With the win Victor improves to 5-8-1. Pittsford Sutherland falls to 3-10-1.
Mercy 3, Greece Odyssey 2
Our Lady of Mercy earned a road win over Greece Odyssey on Monday, giving the Monarchs a final regular season record of 10-4-2. Erin Kosciewicz scored six minutes into the game off an assist from Elizabeth Glynn to give Mercy a 1-0 lead, a lead they would extend in the 62nd minute when Mary LoCicero found the back of the net off a pass from Emily Wade. Greece Odyssey cut the deficit in half when Rachael Walsh found Savannah Tyo for a goal in the 70th minute, but Mercy would tack on a much needed insurance goal three minutes later by Emily Wade, assisted by Anna Doerr. The Leopards fought back to within one in the 77th minute with a goal from Liana Bucciarelli but were unable to get the equalizer. Rachel Manhardt made eight saves in 70 minutes to pick up the win in net. Vanessa Dornelus finished with 10 saves for Greece Odyssey (4-8-2).
Rush-Henrietta 4, Churchville-Chili 2
Jennifer Moran scored two goals to lead the Rush-Henrietta girls soccer team to a victory over visiting Churchville-Chili. Hannah Sinsebox and Xaelel Allen-Caballero each added a goal while Gabrielle Schmidt made two assists. Taylor Stewart and Sam Brill combined to make 10 saves in goal for the Royal Comets, who improve to . No stats were reported for Churchville-Chili (7-8-0).
