Wayne Technical and Career Center students participated in the SkillsUSA Regional Competition on March 8 at Alfred State College.

More than 800 high school students from the Finger Lakes region competed in technical and leadership contests.

The winners include Hunter Arbogast, of Lyons, third place in conservation; Jacob Wilson, of Palmyra-Macedon, second place in auto body helper; Jessie Penta, of Red Creek, third place in power equipment; Emmanuel Franco, of Sodus, first place in small engine; Justin Raley, first place in precision heavy equipment; and Joshua DiMora, first place in precision machining, of Wayne; and Dawson Gilbert, of Williamson, first place in job demonstration.

The 2016 New York State SkillsUSA Leadership and Skills Championships will be held April 27-29 at the New York State Fairgrounds in Syracuse.
