Macedon Center Fire Department, 2481 Canandaigua Road, will host its Community Lumberjack Festival at 8 a.m. Sept. 10-11.

Lumberjacks will compete in log rolling, cross cut, springboard, ax throw, chainsaw and log chop activities. The festival will feature crafts, commercial exhibits and food.

The amateur competition will start at 9 a.m. Sept. 10, and the professional competition will start at 10 a.m. Sept. 11. The grease pole climb will be at 5 p.m. Sept. 10, and the pancake breakfast will be from 7 to 11 a.m. Sept. 10 and from 8 a.m. to noon Sept. 11. Church services will be held at 5 p.m. Sept. 10 and 9:30 a.m. Sept. 11.

Tickets are $3 for adults, $1 for ages 6-14 and are free for ages 5 and younger. The site is handicapped-accessible. For more information, call 315-986-3732 or visit macedoncenterfire.org.
