The Wayne County Volunteer Fire Chiefs Association will sponsor its Fire Equipment Show from 3 to 7 p.m. Aug. 25 at the Newark Firefighters Memorial Park on Barker Parkway off of West Shore Boulevard.

Dick Colacino, show chairman, said this year’s show will be the largest to ever be conducted in Wayne County. Firefighters from all 31 Wayne County fire departments are encouraged to attend the free show. The show also is open to area fire and emergency medical services from Ontario, Seneca, Yates and Monroe counties.

The show will feature 23 local fire equipment vendors, who will exhibit and demonstrate fire apparatus, ambulances, fire suppression tools, rescue equipment, clothing, fire prevention; educational, safety, equipment and command tools; firematic collectables; and, for the first time, 25 scale, diecast fire, ambulance and police vehicles that are lighted with LEDs.

Door prizes will be awarded and food and beverages will be available. Apparatus will be displayed outdoors with equipment vendors both outdoors and under a covered pavilion. The show is open to interested industrial and commercial personnel and the general public.
