The driver of the 1994 Ford Ranger skidded into the northbound lane and flipped over on Route 247.
A Clifton Springs man suffered minor injuries and faces multiple charges including felony driving while intoxicated after police say he crashed his vehicle Sunday evening in Hopewell.
Ontario County Sheriff's deputies charged Harold A. Blair, 39, of 2226 County Road 25, Lot 15, following the crash that deputies say happened as Blair was headed west on Route 5, tried to turn south onto Route 247, and lost control. The 1994 Ford Ranger that Blair was driving skidded into the northbound lane and then flipped over.
Blair was charged with felony DWI, aggravated unlicensed operation, and ticketed with operation without an interlock device, failure to keep right, no seatbelt, and unreasonable speed. The DWI is a felony due to a previous DWI conviction within the past 10 years.
Canandaigua Ambulance took Blair to Thompson Hospital for minor injuries. Hopewell Fire Department helped at the scene.
Blair will appear in Hopewell Town Court at a later date to answer the charges.
