The Newark-Arcadia Historical Society will host a self-guided barn tour from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 1 at various barns in the town of Arcadia.

The tour sites include Bastian’s, 1803 State Route 88; Frey’s, 2227 State Route 88; Hershberger’s, 3183 Lembke Road; Wiegand’s, 2817 Lembke Road; and Bauer/Ramph’s, 1872 Arcadia Zurich Norris Road.

Demonstrations and displays will include Rose City Quilters, barn quilts and spinning by Carolynn Roden. Picnics are encouraged at Bastain’s and Frey’s. Lunch will be available for purchase at the Apple Shed, 3391 Fairville Maple Ridge Road, Newark.

The tour costs $10 per person and are free for ages 18 and younger. Tickets and booklets feature special coupons and are available for purchase at Wegmans, West Miller Street and Finch Street, Newark; Lyons National Bank/Newark Branch, 750 W. Miller St., Newark; Newark Public Library, 121 High St.; and the Newark-Arcadia Museum, 120 High St. Tickets are available the day of the tour at the Newark-Arcadia Museum, 120 High St.
