The cause of fire so far does not appear suspicious though an investigation continues.

Ontario County Sheriff's deputies say an investigation into a fire that destroyed the house at 540 County Road 7 Saturday has been turned over to the Ontario County fire investigator. Deputies said the cause of the fire at this point does not appear suspicious.
No one was injured in the blaze that was spotted by someone who drove by the house around 5:30 p.m. The Red Cross is helping the family.
Responding fire departments included: Port Gibson; Manchester; Shortsville; Clifton Springs; Phelps; Palmyra; Marbletown; and East Palmyra. Port Gibson Ambulance and Finger Lakes Ambulance also responded to help.
Deputies said the house a total loss.

Several fire departments from Ontario County responded to the scene.

The two people who live there were not injured, officials said.

The Red Cross is assisting that family and sheriff's deputies are investigating the cause of the fire.
