Police say the victim was 19-year-old Anthony Nazaire from Bronx, New York. He was stabbed to death after a large fight broke out in Cornell.

An Ithaca College student was stabbed in the outskirts of Cornell University Campus at around 2 o’clock this morning. Police say the victim was 19-year-old Anthony Nazaire from Bronx, New York. He was stabbed to death after a large fight broke out in Cornell.
Nazaire was transported to Cayuga Medical Center where he later died.
Investigators say there were hundreds of college students attending a student run event on campus.
Several fights took place outside after the event. As of now, no one has been arrested in connection to the stabbing. However, surveillance video did capture people recording the incident with their cell phones. Several motorists can also be seen nearby.
“I hope you will hold these students, along with their families, friends, and professors in your thoughts and prayers at this difficult and tragic time,” said Ithaca College President, Tom Rochon.
“There is nothing more important than the safety of our community; as such, this incident is deeply disturbing. Please be sure to take care of yourselves and each other throughout the coming days,” said VP for Student & Campus Life, Ryan Lombardi.
Police are asking anyone who was in the area when the fights broke out to please contact them. They are also encouraging anyone with cell phone video of what happened to send it to them.
