Officials say, Domenic Mineccia missed his Rochester court appearance in connection with the death of his girlfriend because he was in jail facing DWI charges. Attorneys say Mineccia was on his way to court when he was pulled over for driving while intoxicated.
A man who was charged after the Christmas Eve death of his girlfriend was charged with DWI on his way to court.
Officials say, Domenic Mineccia missed his court appearance with Judge Ciaccio because he was in the Orleans County Jail on $1,000 bail facing DWI charges. An attorney tells us Mineccia moved to Florida three weeks ago but came back to Rochester for his court appearance.
Mineccia was charged with tampering with evidence and child endangerment charges after the death of 24-year-old Nicole Grana in 2014. Court papers say Mineccia moved Grana from the bathtub of a home on Camomile Lane to his car, then he drove to Maiden Lane and returned the body back to the home.
Court documents say that earlier in the day, Mineccia left powdered heroin on the bathroom sink for Grana to use, knowing she would be solely responsible for caring for a child.
