Two people have been arrested in connection with the stabbing death of a Sodus teen back in December. Police say the motive was robbery.
Police have identified the two suspects arrested in connection to the stabbing death of 17-year-old Zack Dwello in December.
According to the Newark Police Department and New York State Police, 18-year-old Hunter Peck and 19-year-old Vaughn Gray, both of Newark, stabbed the Sodus resident on Dec. 8 during a robbery in Perkins Park. He died two days later of his injuries.
The two are now charged with first-degree murder, second-degree murder, and three counts of first-degree robbery. They were arraigned in Wayne County on Tuesday. Their first-degree charge is a result of the fact that Dwello's death took place while they were committing a felony.
