Their report cites old an article in a California newspaper, the Exeter Sun. In 1973, which said Joseph James Deangelo was born in Bath.

The now 72-year-old accused murderer and rapist is a retired police officer who investigators believe terrorized people in California in the 1970s and 1980s.

Police arrested Deangelo on Wednesday.
