A Penfield man faces a charge of third-degree grand larceny for allegedly taking over $9,000 for contracting work that he never started.
Ryan P. Frawley, 33, of Penfield, was operating under the business name York Enterprise when he was contracted and hired to do remodeling and construction work on a Palmyra village resident’s building, according to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies said they received a call from the resident in November 2017 that Frawley neither did the job nor reimbursed the money. They said the resident had contacted Frawley in an effort to get his money back, but Frawley closed the York Enterprise business and never reimbursed the money as agreed to.
Frawley was charged Monday afternoon, arraigned in Palmyra Village Court and released on his own recognizance, to reappear later to answer the charge.
Last month, he was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny for a similar instance in Victor.
