Closing arguments are expected Wednesday morning in the trial of a woman accused of stabbing her boyfriend to death
GENESEO — Attorneys were to give closing arguments this morning in the trial of a woman accused of killing her boyfriend in Livingston County.
Prosecutors say Danielle Allen stabbed her ex-boyfriend Marcus Postell, 22, in the chest with a knife in November 2016 in her duplex on Fowlerville Road in York.
Allen is the daughter of a New York State police major. The case was investigated by the Livingston County Sheriff's Department, and in the days following her arrest, county Sheriff Tom Dougherty make a point to say state police had not assisted with the investigation.
If she is convicted, she will face up to 15 years in prison.
Last year, Allen pleaded not guilty to a charge of manslaughter, after being indicted by a grand jury.
