Deputies say a 20-year-old from Macedon was arrested Saturday for allegedly breaking into a residence in Williamson and assaulting a 73-year-old homeowner.
According to the Wayne County Sheriff's Office, deputies were called to a Ridge Road residence around 11:17 p.m. on Saturday after reports a man had broken in. Upon arrival, they say they found Kyle L. Quigley, who had broken the entry door, entered the residence, and began to physically assault the 73-year-old homeowner.
Quigley was charged with second-degree criminal trespass, third-degree criminal mischief, and third-degree assault. He was arraigned in the Town of Williamson and remanded to the Wayne County Jail on $1,000 bail or $5,000 bond. In addition, a stay away order of protection was issued for the victim. Quigley will appear in the Town of Williamson court at a later date to answer charges.
The victim was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital, where he was treated for his injuries and then released.
