Booth and vendor judges choose the winners for the Wayne County Fair
PALMYRA — The 163rd annual Wayne County Fair has announced the winners of the booth and vendor judging.
The booths were judged by Linda Valley and Fair Apprentice Tristan Gellatly. Criteria for the judging included how well the theme of the fair was incorporated into the booth, overall positivity and kindness, and decoration. This year’s theme was "Something Old, Something New, Forever Red, White and Blue at the Wayne County Fair."
Commercial Building No. 1 housed the first-place winner: The Palmyra Legion, as well as the Village Bookmarket, which took home second place. The Toys for Tots Marine Booth received the third-place award in its building.
First place in Commercial Building No. 2 was Empire State Bible Clubs Inc., followed by the Palmyra-Macedon Red Raiders Robotics. And taking home the third-place honors was one of the Pomona Grange booths, showcasing the history of the fair.
As for Floral Hall, the Historic Palmyra booth showcased all of the criteria, taking the first-place spot. Wayne County Tourism followed closely, earning second place and leaving the Memories in 3D booth to receive the third-place award.
Outside vendors had the most competition, but the Scout Troop 166 Taco Shack came out on top, earning first-place honors. The Pal-Mac Seniors Booth was awarded second place, while Papa Ray’s BBQ earned third-place honors.
