A painting of the Stone Aqueduct Bridge in Palmyra Canal Park by Mary “Toni” DiPerri is on permanent display at the Erie Canal Museum, 318 E. Erie Blvd., Syracuse.
Toni DiPerri died in 2009 at the age of 64. She lived in Ionia/West Bloomfield for over 40 years with her husband, Chuck. She was active in a Canandaigua art group, and displayed her art at local festivals and exhibits.
Many people in the community have one of her paintings, as she was known for them giving away when she was alive.
Chuck DiPerri, of Farmington, donated the painting to the Erie Canal Museum.
