Wayne-Finger Lakes teacher wins Pinnacle Award

Dan Bradley recently received the Pinnacle Award at the Finger Lakes Technical and Career Center in Stanley.

This award goes to an individual who best represents the mission and vision of the Wayne-Finger Lakes Board of Cooperative Educational Services, and is at the “pinnacle” of their profession.

Bradley is in his sixth year at FLTCC, where he works in the advanced manufacturing and engineering program. He previously worked as a manufacturing engineer at Trident Precision.


Newark Rotary presents ‘Service Above Self’ Award

Newark Rotary Club presented its 2018 “Service Above Self” Award to Bob Hegeman.

Although not a Rotarian, Hegeman was recognized at a club meeting after the committee unanimously decided to present him with the award.

Hegeman also received a Paul Harris designation for his hours of work heading up a volunteer crew that worked to remodel the Laurel House Comfort Care Home in Newark. He organized the annual St. Michael's Parish Festival for several years, and built several Habitat for Humanity homes in Wayne County.
