A woman facing burglary and criminal mischief charges was apprehended by sheriff deputies on Monday after skipping out on her sentencing, where she was facing treatment instead of state prison. As a result of her dodging sentencing and jumping bail she will most likely be handed a maximum state prison sentence.

VICTOR — A Rochester woman, wanted on a bench warrant for skipping out on her court sentencing hearing, was caught in Victor by Ontario County sheriff's deputies.

On Monday, slightly past 4 a.m. Charlotte Simmons, 53 was apprehended on Rte. 96 for failing to appear in front of Judge Kocher for her sentencing on burglary charges.

Back on Nov. 2 there was an agreed upon offer from the Ontario County District Attorney's Office of treatment instead of state prison.

It's a costly no-show for Simmons, that deal is now off the table and a likely max sentence of 2-4 years will be handed out.

Simmons was released awaiting sentencing on $1,500 cash bail.
