A teenage girl is seriously injured after a hit-and-run in Sodus Monday evening. Deputies say the driver, a man, spoke to the victim through his open window before taking off, leaving the girl laying on the ground.
A teenage girl is seriously injured after a hit-and-run in Sodus Monday evening.
It happened at the intersection of Aling Drive and State Street just after 5:30 p.m.
The teen was crossing the road when she was hit, according to the Wayne County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies say the driver, a man, spoke to the victim through his open window before taking off, leaving the girl laying on the ground.
The suspect was driving a gray pickup, according to investigators.
The victim has multiple injuries. She remains in guarded condition at Strong Memorial Hospital.
Deputies continue to investigate.
