The Friends of the Lyons Public Library is conducting its annual membership drive.
This year’s officers are President Penny Tweedie, Vice President Judith Bennett, Secretary Joan Wallis, Treasurer Marianne Stephan, and directors-at-large Tabitha Fosdick, Anne Salerno and Stuart Smart.
The bylaws were revised during the organizational meeting, which established six new membership levels: student/senior citizen (55 and older), $5; individual, $10; family, $15; patron, $30; business, $75; and benefactor, $100 and above.
The board wants people to help its mission of “supplementing library services, raising community awareness, and promoting the use of the library and its facilities.” Those joining the Friends will get a free ticket entered into the drawing for a Norman Rockwell basket.
Volunteer opportunities will be available throughout the year for members and non-members. Membership forms can be found at the library on Broad Street.
