Three Monroe County residents have been arrested after an investigation into sales of concentrated cannabis and marijuana in Ontario County.

According to Ontario County Sheriff Kevin Henderson, a vehicle driven by Austin Mitchell, 23, of 120 Drumlin View Drive, Victor, was stopped on Route 251 in the Town of Victor by the sheriff’s office on Wednesday, Feb. 13. Mitchell allegedly was found in possession of concentrated cannabis and 200 vape cartridges containing THC oil. He was charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a Class D felony.

Also Wednesday, Santino Giardina, 21, of 24 Larway Ridge, Fairport, was charged with third-degree criminal sale of marijuana. He allegedly sold 96 vape cartridges, containing THC oil, and 2 pounds of marijuana to someone in the Town of Victor. He was arrested after his vehicle was stopped by investigators.

Ontario County sheriff’s investigators, with assistance from the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, Wednesday executed a search warrant at the residence of Samuel Walsh, 22, of 3299 Rush Mendon Road, Honeoye Falls. According to the sheriff, they found 153 vape cartridges containing THC oil, concentrated cannabis and "a significant amount" of U.S. currency. Wash was charged with fourth-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, a Class C felony.

All three were remanded to the Ontario County Jail for pre-arraignment detention.

Also assisting the sheriff’s office were the City of Canandaigua and Village of Phelps police departments.
