Marion Central School students are preparing for their production of the Tony Award-winning musical “No No Nanette.”
This comedy follows three couples in the midst of deception, romantic mishaps and misunderstandings. This story is told by the Marion cast as they Charleston, tap, waltz, soft shoe, sing and play ukuleles on stage.
Majority of students have their first dance instruction through Marion musicals, taught by Shelly Thompson.
“No No Nanette” features two well-known songs in musical theater: “Tea for Two” and “I Want to Be Happy.”
This year’s cast, in order of appearance, are Sarah State (Pauline), Katherine Hilton (Lucille Early), Natalie Vernon (Sue Smith). Derek Adriaansen (Jimmy Smith), Michael Hamill (Billy Early), Drew Holahan (Tom Trainor), Carley Randall (Nanette), Trinity Bourgeois (Flora Latham), Olivia Wolanski (Betty Brown) and Olivia Dye (Winnie Winslow).
Core members are Katelynn Augello, Mack Brewington, Collin Cahill, Liam De La Osa Cruz, Marcos De La Osa Cruz, Emmalee Dye, Alleyna Fulton, Heath Graves-Markham, Morgan Henning, Tanya Hernandez, Katherine Higbee, Anna Hofmann, Sharon Jaramillo, Scarlett Keppen, Kailey Kuhn, Mia Little, Sofia Little, Jessica Mander, Noah Mattison, Abby Pynn, Faith Rinella, Kami Steurrys, Alaina Taylor, Natalie VanCamp, Kailey Vernon, Evan Walters and Whitney Welch.

The show will run at 8 p.m. on March 8-9 and 2 p.m. on March 9. All seats are reserved. Tickets are available in the lobby of Marion Central School, 4034 Warner Road.
