A group convened at Clyde-Savannah Elementary School in February for a groundbreaking ceremony, a milestone in the district’s capital project.
The board of education, administration, campus construction and students were present at the ceremony, as was HUNT construction. The ceremony marked the start of visible changes made to campus.
At the ceremony, Superintendent Michael Hayden thanked community members for passing the referendum in 2017 and recognized other stakeholders who made the project possible.
“It’s been several years of planning and designing to get to this point,” he said. “I want to thank everyone who has been involved in making this project come to fruition, including the HUNT architectural firm, campus construction management, students, teachers, administrators and the board of education.”
Most of the behind-the-scenes work on the campus is expected to be completed within the next few months as construction begins.
