Gananda Central School District announced the Spring Fling Youth Triathlon is returning May 11 at Richard Mann Elementary School, 1366 Waterford Road, Walworth.
The triathlon is open to all students in grades three through 12 from any school district.
“For this year’s event we’re excited that our Spring Fling Youth Triathlon participants can utilize our newly surfaced track and turf field,” said Gananda Athletic Director John Tichacek. “We’re proud of the improvements we’ve made for our community and the triathlon is a great way for our community’s youth to really enjoy the enhancements we have made.”
Promoting physical fitness and fun, this community event consists of swimming, biking and running events where racers can compete individually or as part of a relay team. The courses are created for age appropriateness and age groups will have staggered start times. Check-in will begin at 8:30 a.m. on May 11 with the race beginning at 10 a.m.
A $15 entry fee includes a race bib and a free triathlon T-shirt. The registration deadline is May 1. Visit to register.
