Clyde-Savannah recently had 28 eighth graders compete in the Wayne Technical and Career Center skills competition in Williamson.
Students competed against others in Wayne County either individually or in teams of two. Competitors earned points based on their performance in their categories. Each category awarded first-, second- and third-place winners.

Auto technician: Brent Bell.
Basic welding: Jeffery Reynolds.
Bridal hair and nail artistry: second-place winner Jaida Larsen and Madison Peeso.
Carpentry: Marshall Bowler and first-place winner Jessica Montemorano.
Computer game programming: Orion Lauster and Isaac Marchitell.
Criminal investigation, handcuffing, martial arts skills: Makenna Lewis and Madison Secor.
Cupcake wars: Marissa Nicoletta and Taegan St. John.
Electrical trades: Azriel Lawrence.
Engine building: Skyler Abbott.
Health dimensions: Leah Henderberg.
Heavy metal (machining): Gracin Hilliard and Cameron Thorn.
Preschool art: Natalie Reed and Quillan Shimp.
Prom night hair and nail artistry: Makenna Horton and Hannah Kaplun.
