U.S. Rep. John Katko, R-24th District, recently toured the Wayne Technical and Career Center in Williamson, meeting with students and Wayne-Finger Lakes BOCES representatives.
Thomas Haag, deputy district director at the U.S. House of Representatives, accompanied the congressman.
Katko visited with students in the advanced manufacturing and engineering, carpentry, computer programming and video game design, and power mechanics programs. Students discussed the skills they learned and their current projects.
Katko then met with Superintendent Vicma Ramos, as well as Scott Bischoping, deputy superintendent; Erin Fairben, director of K-12 instruction; Principal Andy McVey; and Shannon Marshall, director of communications.
