We send a sincere thank-you to the Macedon Public Library for providing a donation dropoff area for the Macedon Food Pantry. We appreciate the food and other items donated by library patrons.
Thank you to the members of the Friends of the Macedon Public Library who coordinated the effort. Food drives like this greatly help the Macedon Food Pantry serve its clients who are in need.
In 2018, over 2,100 individuals received food from the Macedon Food Pantry, an average of 70 families a month. Nonperishable food, personal items and paper products are greatly appreciated as donations. They provide meals and more for food insecure families in the Pal-Mac and Gananda school districts who live in Macedon and neighboring Walworth.
The Macedon Food Pantry is open Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from noon to 1 p.m., and is located in the basement of St. Patrick’s Church on Main Street in Macedon. For more information, please call (315) 538-8242.
