ROCHESTER — Golisano Children’s Hospital has been recognized as one of the nation’s best children’s hospitals in two specialty areas.
The U.S. News & World Report released its 2019-20 rankings online Tuesday, placing the children’s hospital’s neonatology program at number 38 and the nephrology program at number 41.
The Division of Neonatology provides care for critically ill and premature newborns, and treats more than 1100 infants every year, hospital officials say. The Division of Pediatric Nephrology provides care for those with kidney disease, reduced renal function, and hypertension.
Over the past eight years, Golisano has earned a spot in the top 50 in six of the 10 categories.
The rankings feature the 50 best hospitals in each of 10 pediatric specialties. They can be viewed at https://health.usnews.com/best-hospitals/pediatric-rankings.
