The Wayne Teachers Association recently presented Outstanding Citizen awards to two students from each school in the Wayne Central School District.
The award is based on seven criteria: cooperation with teachers, aides, peers and staff; positive leadership qualities; consideration and respect for others; academically motivated; always willing to help; accepts and abides by the rules; and a good friend to others.
The following students consistently demonstrated positive character traits and were recognized for being outstanding citizens.
Wayne Primary School: Raegan Dippel and Brennon Smith.
Wayne Elementary School: Brodie Newmyer and Ella Wood.
Wayne Central Middle School: Anthony Anselmo and Jennifer Carpenter.
Wayne Central High School: Katherine Meulendyk and Kaya Lani Panneitz.
