The Wayne Central School District Board of Education recently appointed Kim Cox as interim superintendent of schools.
“We are very excited to welcome Ms. Cox back to the Wayne Central School District,” said Steve Gallaher, board president. “The experience and skills Ms. Cox brings to the district will support and continue to grow our tradition of educating and inspiring all students to be empowered learners and community contributors.”
Cox returns to the district with over 32 years of educational experience, 25 of which she served as an elementary teacher, principal and assistant superintendent for instruction for Wayne. For seven years, she was the superintendent of schools for LeRoy CSD.
Through her experience, Cox developed skills in school and district leadership, curriculum development, developing academic excellence, and overall school organization.
“I look forward to joining the Wayne Board of Education and school community as we work collaboratively to continue the development of a vision of academic excellence, and celebrate the great work happening at Wayne CSD,” Cox said.
Questions regarding the superintendent search process should be directed to Vicky Ramos, superintendent of Wayne-Finger Lakes BOCES, at (315) 332-7292.
