Palmyra Community Library, 402 E. Main St., invites artists of all ages and levels to participate in the Canaltown Days Art Show and Sale from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sept. 14, noon to 4 p.m. on Sept. 15 and during library hours until Sept. 21 in the third-floor community room.
A public artists’ reception will start at 6:30 p.m. on Sept. 16.
Artists can enter the oil and acrylic painting; watercolor painting; mixed media; drawing (pen, pencil, charcoal, pastel); photography; sculpture (metal, wood, clay, textile, mix); fiber and textiles; picture of Palmyra (all media); and youth 5-12 and 13-18 categories.
Artwork can be dropped off at the library from 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sept. 9-11. Artists are limited to two entries per category. Art should be ready to hang on pegboard-style hooks. Use wire to hang for safety.
First-, second- and third-place cash prizes and ribbons will be awarded, along with a People’s Choice Award. The awards are made possible by the Palmyra-Macedon Rotary Club and Friends of the Palmyra Library.
