Four passengers were transported by Finger Lakes Ambulance complaining of neck and back pain.
Ontario County Sheriff’s deputies say a driver ran through a red light at the County Road 6/County Road 4 intersection, causing a four-car crash late Sunday morning.
Four passengers in one of the vehicles were transported by Finger Lakes Ambulance complaining of neck and back pain.
According to deputies, Thaddeus J. Mroz, 63, of Canandaigua, was driving south on County Road 6, in his 2011 Buick when he ran the red light and failed to yield the right of way to a driver who was headed east on County Road 4 in a 2014 Buick Enclave. After striking the Buick, Mroz’s vehicle then struck a trailer that was north bound on County Road 6. Mroz’s vehicle then struck a 2011 Ford Escape headed southbound on County Road 6, before leaving the roadway and coming to rest.
Mroz was ticketed with a citation for passing a red light. He will answer the charge at a later date in Geneva Town Court.
White Springs Fire Department, Finger Lakes Ambulance and Phelps Ambulance all responded to the crash.
