Clyde-Savannah High School recently hosted the Rochester Area College Fair, where students got the chance to speak to local college representatives. The fair was open to juniors and seniors.
Students could visit a college’s table to ask questions about the campus and program offerings, and representatives gave an overview of what the college offered. Representatives provided prospective students with various informational materials, such as flyers, fast facts and contact sheets.
Participating schools were Alfred State College, Monroe Community College, Keuka College, Houghton College, Genesee Community College, SUNY Geneseo, The College at Brockport, University of Rochester, Rochester Institute of Technology, St. John Fisher College, Finger Lakes Community College, Roberts Wesleyan College, Alfred University and Nazareth College.
“This was a great opportunity for our students to learn more about their options after they graduate,” Principal Craig Pawlak said. “Thank you to all of the colleges who attended and showed our students some of the great things they have to look forward to.”
“Choosing a college is a big decision, so it’s important that students look at as many as possible,” guidance counselor Laura Bliss said. “The Rochester Area College Fair is the perfect place for students to interact with different colleges and find out which ones appeal to them.”
Students said they were excited to continue exploring colleges in the months to come.
