Police say the driver, Michael Andraszek of Perinton, was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The cause of the crash is being investigated by Fairport Police, the Monroe County Sheriff's Office, and CSX Police. However, police do say the initial investigation revealed that the railroad signalling gates were working at the time of the crash.

Andraszek told police he confused the accelerator for the brake when the gates were dropping at the railroad crossing.
