A man who New York State Police say crashed into a Bloomfield home in October faces charges after an arrest this week.

Ross Thompson, 35, of Naples, was charged with criminal possession of a forged instrument. State troopers say Thompson cashed a forged personal check for $500 at a Canandaigua bank, and then bought a bus ticket from Rochester to New York City.

Troopers say that police in Manhattan found and arrested Thompson at the Port Authority Bus Station in New York City.

Thompson is already under investigation by police, pending toxicology results, after police say he lost control of his car on Maple Avenue in Bloomfield in October. Investigators said that he rolled his car over several times, and then his car crashed into a home and exploded.

No one was hurt in that crash.
