The case is being treated as a homicide investigation. The victims' 3-year-old child was left in a box on a nearby porch in Buffalo. The boy's parents had rented a car and were traveling from Florida to New York with Dhamyl Mirella Roman-Audiffred who used to live in Webster. He's still missing.

There are new details in a mystery spanning more than a thousand miles.

A missing man once from the Rochester area and two of his friends all vanished at the same time. That was just before police found a burning car and a 3-year-old boy left on a porch in a box in Buffalo. Two bodies were found inside that burned-out car.

Family members tell WFTV in Orlando that investigators have identified the remains of a Florida couple found in that car more than two months ago.

Relatives of Nicole Plaud and Miguel Valentin-Colon say police told them the devastating news in October, but they didn't get the remains until this month.

Authorities have not said how the couple was killed, but the case is being treated as a homicide investigation.

The victims' 3-year-old child was left in a box on a nearby porch in Buffalo. He is now with his grandparents in Florida.

The boy's parents had rented a car and were traveling from Florida to New York with Dhamyl Mirella Roman-Audiffred who used to live in Webster. He’s still missing.

Two mysterious men caught on surveillance footage while leaving the scene still haven't been identified. Police say they did interview the little boy before he went back to Florida, but they have not said what the boy told them about that night.
