School districts are announcing various plans to provide students with meals while schools are closed due to the coronavirus. Many schools are offering grab-and-go, curb-side pick of breakfast and lunch. Some schools are offering meal delivery.

The list below has information on many districts in Ontario County. All districts have details posted on school websites and Facebook pages.

Bloomfield Central School

Canandaigua City School District

The district is participating in the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s School Closure Meal Program, which provides free meals to students during the school closure. All Canandaigua City School District students can participate; you do not need to be a Canandaigua City School District resident. Call 585-396-3732

When: Monday-Friday: Breakfast and lunch beginning March 23, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.|
Where: Main Entrance of the Primary-Elementary School (Gibson Street Parking Lot). This is curb-side pickup, you will not need to get out of your car. Meal services during the school closure could change. Check your email or the district website for updates.

Geneva City Schools

The Geneva City School District will offer breakfast and lunch pickup for school-aged children during the school closure Monday through Friday beginning Monday, March 23, from 11 am to 1 p.m. Pickup locations:
The West Street School bus loop; The Carter Road bus loop; The Goodman Street Boys & Girls Club.

Honeoye Central School

Grab-and-go breakfast and lunch meals will be offered for all HCS students whose families request them. A form to fill out is on the school webite

Breakfast and lunch meals will be available for pick up on weekdays between 10 a.m and noon starting Wednesday, March 18. Curb-side pick up will be outside room 101 (Elementary Computer Lab). Parents/guardians may park along the bus loop driveway, parking loop or in the parking lot in front of the building on Main St. (Rte 20A) and walk to the classroom window to sign-in and receive their brown-bag meals. Signs will direct recipients to the pick-up location.
Parents/guardians will be asked to sign for meals by indicating their name as well as the names of their HCS-enrolled children.

Marcus Whitman Central Schools

Midlakes, Phelps-Clifton Springs

Beginning on Friday, March 20, "grab and go" breakfast and lunch items will be available to all students on weekdays. On-campus pick-up for grades K-12 will be held from 7 to 9 a.m., and noon to 1:00 p.m. daily in the Middle/High School bus loop. We are working to make other pick-up sites available in the community beginning on Monday, March 23.

Naples Central Schools

Free breakfast and lunch packages will be delivered to all interested district residents ages 18 and under. Beginning Wednesday, March 18, the district’s Transportation Department will begin delivering food each weekday to all households that have requested meals. A form to request meals is on the district website. Meals will be delivered between 8 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. via NCS buses and recipients will be responsible to come to the bus stop to get the meals. Red Jacket, Manchester-Shortsville Central School

Meals will be available for pick up in front of the auditorium lobby Wednesday, March 18 through Friday, March 20th, between 10 a.m. - noon
Student accounts will be debited for any students who do not receive free lunches.

Victor Central Schools

All students qualify to receive lunch and breakfast on weekdays during closure. Starting Wednesday, March 18, pick up is at three distribution sites: Mertensia Park, Fire Station No 2 on Hook Road, and the serving line at the Primary school for breakfast/lunch service. Parents and/or students can come in and receive their lunch for that day and their breakfast for the next day. Hours of operation will be from noon to 1 p.m. for all sites.

If you are unable to pick up the meals from the distribution sites, call your child’s principal as soon as possible. If you do not have transportation or a way to get to any of the distribution sites, call the food service department at 585-924-3252, ext. 6470.
