The Wayne Central School District Board of Education recently named Joseph Siracuse as the next superintendent of schools.
Siracuse is continuing his work with Wayne CSD, with over 19 years of commitment to the school community. During this time, he served as interim superintendent, assistant superintendent for instruction, high school principal and Ontario Elementary School principal.
“It is a true honor to be selected as the next superintendent of the Wayne Central School District,” Siracuse said. “I’ve learned so much from my Wayne colleagues and students over the past 19 years, and I am extremely excited to continue our collaborative work. The Wayne Central School District is a special place, and I’m so grateful for the opportunity to serve the district.”
Siracuse previously was an elementary teacher for Waterloo CSD. Throughout his career, he developed and mastered the skills of strategic leadership, instructional planning and support, curriculum development, and overall school organization.
“We are very excited to congratulate Dr. Siracuse on his new role within the Wayne Central School District as our new standing superintendent,” said Steve Gallaher, board president. “Through the search process, it was clear that Dr. Siracuse’s passion not only aligns with the district’s vision but that he also has the ability to lead us into the future. We thank Dr. Siracuse for his guidance as our interim superintendent and look forward to our continued work.”
