The Newark office of EFPR Group became an independent firm with the name Scott Healy CPA PLLC this month.
EFPR and Scott Healy’s firm originally merged in 2010 to provide a greater range of service options to clients. Douglas Forgue and Healy will continue to offer accounting, consulting and tax services from the office at 103 Colton Ave.
“The separation from EFPR Group is a mutual and respectful change,” Healy said. “We believe that this change will allow both organizations to focus resources with the goal of developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients and prospects that will ultimately lead to long-term growth.
“We will continue to work with EFPR Group as appropriate, so there is no need to worry that the change will impact the resources and services available. We are proud to stand tall as a small business partnering with both individuals and business owners for their financial success.”
Forgue joined Healy’s firm in 2002 as a tax manager and has over 31 years of experience in public accounting. He served on the boards for Greater Newark Chamber of Commerce, Newark-Arcadia Historical Society and Newark Rotary Club.
Healy has served local and regional clients for over 36 years. He chairs the board of Newark-Wayne Community Hospital and is a member of Newark Rotary, where he was club president in 2004-05 and currently is treasurer for Rotary District 7120.
The office name change will be reflected on the firm’s mailings, packaging, invoices and signage. Call (315) 331-1750 for information.
