Devon Spychalski's five saves led him to a shutout victory over Rush Henrietta

The Canandaigua boys soccer team picked up their second win of the season with a 2-0 shutout victory over Rush Henrietta On Saturday.

Aden Forcier opens the game’s scoring in the second minute of the game to give the Braves an early lead.

Connor Bauman added to the Canandaigua lead late in the second half. Devon Spychalski made five saves in net for the Braves.

Both teams are now 2-3 overall on the season.

Palmyra-Macedon 7, Newark 0

Jake Gallina led the Red Raiders with a game-high four points on three goals and an assist.

Nick Zapiensa added two more goals for Palmyra-Macedon. Jace Schafer and Aidan Quinn each had a goal as well.

Palmyra-Macedon improves to 4-1 overall. Newark falls to 2-5.

Naples 1, Jasper Troupsberg 1

Adam Quarterman scored in the first half for Naples with an assist from Aiden Peterson.

Scoring for Jasper Trousberg was Allesandro Sozzani. Teammate Brayden Hill assisted on the play.

Nick Clearman made seven saves in net for Naples.


Dundee 8, TriTown 6


Hammondsport 3, Bloomfield 2

Meredith Conklin led Bloomfield with 16 kills, eight aces, and four digs.

Jaiden Purcell added four aces and an impressive 20 assists. Marissa Willix recorded 10 kills and two digs.

Hammondsport remains undefeated at 6-0. Bloomfield falls to 4-2.


Victor 5, Fairport 2

Victor won three of four singles matches on their way to a victory over the Red Raiders.

Lamia Karebegovic defeated Uliana Nedelko 7-5 (6-2), Emily Power defeated Gwen Levanowitz 6-4 in both sets, and Katelyn Spath defeated Elena Merle 4-6 (6-4, 7-5).

The Blue Devils played well in doubles play as well, winning two of the three matches.

Emily Ackerman and Sophia Harvey defeated Olivia Rich and Amy Ruan 6-1 (6-4). Chloe Haller and Kate Millspaugh rounded out the Blue Devils victories after defeating Lily Bulkeley and Paige Harman 6-2 in both sets.

Victor improves to 5-2 overall. Fairport falls to 4-3.


Marcus Whitman 37, Allegany Limestone 44, Byron-Bergen 82, Livonia 89, Avoca 92

The Wildcats cross country team traveled to Byron-Bergen High School and claimed first place in the Kota Reis Invitational.

Marcus Whitman’s Aidan Royston won the run after finishing in 17:29.

Teammate Liam Pendergast claimed third place with a time of 18:05. Alex Lyons finished in sixth place with a time of 18:39 and Will Sloth finished 10th with a time of 19:43.


Allegany Limestone 20, Livonia 51, Marcus Whitman 74, Byron-Bergen 87

Marcus Whitman was led by Emma MacDowell’s time of 24:28 good for ninth place.

Teammate Lauren O’Connor finished one spot behind MacDowell with a time of 24:32. Brianna Gonzalez claimed 17th place after finishing in 26:02.
