Organizers: BLM protest won't shut down I-490
ROCHESTER — The protest on Interstate-490 will not impede traffic, according to event organizers.
Protestors are planning a Black Lives Matter rally that originally was going to shut down I-490.
After officials expressed safety concerns, the organizers announced Friday that they would carry on with the protest, but wouldn’t stop traffic. They also say there are safety measures in place.
The Black Lives Matter rally is still scheduled for 2 p.m. on Sunday.
